Yesterday, I quoted my friend Reverend Jen Miller, as her approach to dealing with critics is the most authentic and workable I’ve ever experienced.

She’s the friend you can call when a publisher has broken your heart. She’ll be there for you. She will know what to say. She’s also a bad-ass Witch and tremendously talented artist. Far more than one deity has shown up in her dreams and commissioned stunning portraits. She gave me the honor of posing as Venus of the East River a few years ago, but her painting of the Calleach has always been my favorite. (Unfortunately, I don’t have an image of that one!)

Anyway, Rev has a new article out about approaching the time of the Crone in this rabid city that is far too focused on the Maidens and Lads. This gem of a phrase will stay with me forever: “When I was younger, I thought the world owed me something. Now that I am older I realize I owe the world something.” Read more, here!

A couple of new interviews!

Brigit’s Sparkling Flame
Poet, writer, and Brigid Daugther Mael Brigde profiled me and my book in her blog post this week. She also let me use one of her beautiful prayers in the book, itself. You can read it, here! Thank you, Mael!
