“Will They Come Back?” Unpacking my most popular Tarot spread.

1.) The Terrible Thing They Said Or Did (aka, why they’re gone): Page of Cups. This was a soft ending, and possibly a manipulative one. The Page of Cups is literally keeping things in a cup. My guess is they got a “It’s not you, it’s me….” thing.
2.) The sorrow they left behind: 2 of Cups. The 2 of Cups keeps things open. In this type of reading, it can indicate a downshift into a friends-with-benefits/situationship type of thing. The other party may want to keep our friend “as a friend,” while they look around for other romantic options.
3.) What your best friend thinks of the situation: 8 of Wands. “BOMBS AWAY!” The best friend can see right through any manipulative games affecting our querent friend. They are ready to defend their friend’s honor…big time.
