Tips For Your Best Tarot Reading
If you’ve got a burning question, ask it.
Some people don’t like to let the reader know what’s on their mind. They may want to see if the reader “catches” the silent question. Others simply want to know what the cards think. These are perfectly reasonable choices, but a cryptic question leads to a cryptic answer. In retrospect, you’ll understand what it means, but if you want to know something specific right away, it’s better to go ahead and ask.
Cryptic questions = cryptic answers. Specific questions = specific answers. Pick your pleasure!
Bring something to take notes.
Some readers are open to recording their reading. I do not record my readings, but am fine if the querrent wants to record it for themselves. Either way, write down what speaks loudest to you. You may think you’ll remember the whole reading…but memory is fickle! Make notes!
Leave your shame at the door.
Seasoned readers have heard LOTS of things and they’re VERY unlikely to judge you. Chances are, your reader has already answered that “super embarrassing question” for someone else…that day!
I used to be a phone psychic. It’s been a LONG time since I’ve been shocked by a question or situation!
Tears are not a problem.
LOTS of people cry during Tarot readings. It’s can be an emotional experience. Trust me. Your reader has seen it before!
If you see a card that alarms you, ask the reader to clarify.
Especially if you’re new to Tarot, cards like Death, the Devil, and the 10 of Swords might look alarming when they appear, but it’s all about context. Depending on where they appear in your reading, those cards could mean good things.
Don’t just ask “Will it or won’t it?” Also ask “How can I make it?”
Yes, Tarot can tell you what’s coming up down the road. But it’s also to help you prepare to make the best of things. If you don’t like what you see in the reading’s future outlook, ask for tools to better navigate and/or avoid it.
Wait and see.
Sometimes, the outcome isn’t something you think could be possible. Countless times, querents have said, “There’s no way! It could never! They would never! I would never!” And guess what? It does and they do. These can be some of the most accurate readings. If your outcome seems impossible, don’t brush it off! Wait and see.
