Seven years ago, I started something with my two best friends.

We were pretty sure that we were the funniest people on the planet. So we decided to inflict that on the world and see if there were a chance we could monetize it.

Guess what? It worked.

That Witch Life Podcast has been one of the crown jewels of my memories.

I have had more fun doing this podcast than almost anything else.

We’ve interviewed incredible people, including people I idolized as a child and young adult, and whom I can now call my friends.

We hit a powerful stride during the pandemic. We had little to do, and so did most of the world. Folx tuned in from all over the place and we build a fantastic community that I hope will follow us into the future. This podcast has been like a VERY public audio-journal for us three: Following us through children, losses, love, divorces, successes, and failures.

And after seven years, we are ending That Witch Life Podcast.

This isn’t to say that there haven’t been hard moments. A podcast of this magnitude, and it involved scheduling people, keeping the conversation engaging, editing and publishing, and then continuing to push this content out in hopes that someone would listen to it, and for the majority of the time, it we published weekly! So much of our waking lives over the past seven years has been That Witch Life Podcast!

We haven’t always agreed on everything. Not every guest was someone we were proud to have platformed. When you work with friends, especially friends with whom you’ve known for most of your life, every one of your chapters will eventually re-emerge…the beautiful, and the difficult.

But overall, we’ve loved it. And we will miss it.

But in some ways, TWL was a victim of its own success! My writing career has grown tremendously since I’ve started. Kanani has a book deal of her own! Hilary, while certainly a prolific performer before and during the podcast, is getting more opportunities and much of them involve major travel. The seeds we planted seven years ago have grown into something beautiful. Now, it’s time to take some of the seeds from its fruit and move on.

If you’ve listened to the podcast, or simply supported me or us through various means while the podcast was going, thank you. I hope our journey continue to be magical together.

And with that, one more announcement….

Because the podcast is ending…
This So Mote That Con will also be our last.
