Again, I won’t drag you down by listing all of the difficult things going on right now.
We all want to help. But where to start???
I’ve got a Tarot spread for that!
This week’s original spread by yours truly is meant to help you figure out where you can be helpful to address things that break your heart. These are normally available only to paid subscribers, but it doesn’t make sense to hide helpful resources right now!
Go get your cards.
Think about something that breaks your heart. This can be something large affecting your community, or something impacting someone close to you.
Once you’ve identified that issue, shuffle your Tarot cards while focusing on the question “How can I help?”

1.) How you can help
2.) Things you want to avoid doing right now (as they may either not be helpful, or may not be feasible for you to do at the moment)
3.) Tools you have to help that you weren’t aware of
4.) Impacts you’ll see
5.) Impacts you won’t see
Do you love what you’re learning here? Want to practice this with me, live? If you want to go deeper, join us over at The Cauldron Calling: A Virtual Platform for the Magickally-Minded. Members at the Dabber and Seeker levels get access to live a virtual study hall every Wednesday where we work on these exercises together in real time!
The Reading In Action:
I did this reading for myself, focusing on issues of hunger in my region.

1.) How I can help: 2 of Wands. This card has been a “watch the phone” message for a while—noting how the character is looking at the world in their hand (as though looking at the World Wide Web!). I need to keep my eyes open on channels where calls for help or raising a message may come alone.
2.) Things I want to avoid doing right now: The Star. The Star is a card of lofty hopes and dreams. It’s possible that I’ll have some very lofty, “heroic” goals for how I can help, but the real work may be much more humdrum, but no less important!
3.) Tools you have to help that I was’t aware of: 4 of Pentacles, Reversed. When upright, this card represents holding on to resources. When Reversed, it indicates releasing one’s grip on resources. This may mean there is a role in “releasing resources” that I’m not yet aware of. I need to keep my eyes on the info portals!
4.) Impacts you’ll see: Page of Pentacles, Reversed. When upright, this card indicates investment of resources. When Reversed, it can indicate replacing what was invested. This could mean that the SNAP resources will be returned to where they need to be, which means my work could have to do with political and legal work, and not just handing out food.
5.) Impacts you won’t see: 8 of Cups, Reversed. When upright, this indicates something leaving. When Reversed, it can indicate a return. It also indicates a longer term than the Page of Pentacles. There will probably be long-term returns that I won’t necessarily see!
