‘Tis the season for thinking about roots!

Root vegetables, ancestral roots, dying your roots in preparation for Halloween balls and Pagan Pride Festivals (or maybe that’s just me!).

In thinking about roots at this time of year, this week’s Tarot Tutorial Explores the roots of a problem. Many readings focus on past-present-future. It’s natural. One of the many reasons most of us get into Tarot is to find out what’s coming our way. We want to know if it will…or it won’t. Or what to expect, particularly among the unexpected. We want the preview of coming attractions, d*mnit!!!

But Tarot reminds us that we have agency. While we can’t control everything, we are not powerless to the whims of the Universe.

While we can’t control everything, we are not powerless to the whims of the Universe. This week’s original spread expands on one I created and frequently do for clients, exploring the roots of a problem and more importantly, what can be done about it!
