MountainTop GraphicMy trip to Georgia came and went all too fast! First of all, I was lucky enough to go to Atlanta to take part in the MountainTop conference, which I coordinated logistics for through my work at Auburn Seminary. Heather Greene at The Wild Hunt wrote write ups here and here of the event and the fabulous Witches that were part of it!

I’m working on a write-up of my trip to Oakland Cemetery–a personal and professional pilgrimage to make connection to the Spirits of the land. It’s not ready to full talk yet, but as soon as it is, it will be on my Witches and Pagans blog

Some folks may not know this, but I was born in the Carolinas and spent at least a small portion of every summer there as I was growing up. This week in Atlanta was my first time visiting my region of birth (my family’s “area” of the South includes Georgia….wherever there is red clay!) on my own terms, doing what I wanted. In addition to exploring cemeteries, there were late night Tarot parties, visits to Hoodoo shops, Mint Julep and Moonshine and, best of all, meeting up with Southern Witches!

Reading at Phoenix and Dragon!

On display!

I did a reading, led a meditation, and taught a great group of people how to weave a St. Brigid’s cross at Phoenix and Dragon last Thursday night. Such a warm, loving group of Brigid kin…so many beautiful stories! So much light! By the way, if you’re in the Atlanta area and you haven’t gone to Phoenix and Dragon, quit reading this blog, put down the device, and go check out this gorgeous store. True to its slogan, it really is an oasis of calm! Thank you again, Candace and the crew at P&D for having me!

Further into North Georgia….

Friday night, I was blessed with a group of new friends. I circled with members of several different groups in the area and spoke about Brigid. We finished the night with a Brigid healing ritual. It was a wonderful time. I wish it could have been longer!

Socialize on Saturdays at Simple Strands

I ended my time in Georgia with an afternoon of cookies and well, socializing, at the beautiful Simple Strands store in Cumming, Georgia. Another gorgeous spot all metaphysically-minded folks should frequent if they can! Such a kind community…it gave me great joy to share Brigid with them, as well as Tarot of the Boroughs!

I would like to offer thanks to everyone who let me speak at their store or home or helped promote! A very special thanks to Lydia and Tony Crabtree who put me up (or put up with me…what have you!).  Lydia has a book out, herself! Family Coven: Birthing Hereditary Witchcraft. I know quite a few people who could be all over this!

TempleofWitchcraftNext stop, New Hampshire!

I’ll be lecturing at Temple of Witchcraft this weekend. Join me! It would be great to see you!

And now……The Google Search Question of the Week:

(The things people Google in order to end up, here.)

No, hunny. That’s not what that means.

But in case you had the same question, a throwback to a blog I wrote about this very topic last Valentine’s Day.
