Is the Wheel of Fortune a good card? Well. Like all cards in the Tarot, it depends on the context!

The Wheel generally means movement, but it doesn’t mean that something just HAPPEN.
All wheels need an impetus to move—be it from gas, water, or a strong push. In your Tarot reading, the Wheel indicates change coming into your sphere, but it’s a change you’ll need to either support or create. If the Wheel is Reversed, it can mean that things are stuck and either in need of new energy, or a call to change directions all together.
Mark your calendar: Registration for my 31 Day Tarot Challenge opens June 1. For the month of July, you’ll receive a Tarot practice and original spread every day by email, and one phenomenal booklet pulling them all together at the end. A Discord will be available for people to connect and share their readings!
Other interpretations can include:
- A change in fortune for the better…or worse.
- A new chapter in a cycle.
- Growth…or stagnation (if Reversed).
- Promotion or expansion in work
- Healing from heartbreak

5.) Best use of The Wheel’s energy
The Reading In Action:
A hypothetical querent got The Wheel as their card of the day. Here’s what the reading says:

1.) The situation the Wheel refers to: 8 of Swords
The 8 of Swords indicates feeling confined and restricted, often through thoughts or habits. It’s possible that some decision paralysis is making it difficult for the querent to impart positive changes into their life.
2.) Where the situation is going (for better or worse!): 9 of Pentacles Reversed
9 of Pentacles, when upright, indicates wealth and comfort. When Reversed, it can mean loss or limited means. The Wheel card seems to be telling the querent that their situation is about to get tougher if they don’t make some changes.
3.) The obstacles preventing the Wheel from movement (for better or worse!): 7 of Pentacles Reversed
7 of Pentacles indicates growth, but through patience. When Reversed, it can indicate impatience. This likely means that the querent may be dealing with some impatience which will make everything more difficult for them!
4.) The energy the Wheel needs: 10 of Pentacles
10 of Pentacles indicates wealth, but also a plan. The querent would do well to re-work their plan and think expansion long-term.
5.) Best use of The Wheel’s energy: Queen of Wands Reversed.
When upright, the Queen of Wands indicates energy and drive. When Reversed, it can mean rest. The restrictions that the querent may be facing could be for their own good at this time. A period of rest and reflection may help them design the plans they ultimately want to expand upon.
