I’m not afraid of Eclipses.
Although you might say I should be….
But I’m not.
Eclipses aren’t just about “letting go” and “letting in.” For most of humanity’s history, they have served as omens for major changes in the world.
A few years ago, during a pair of Eclipses much like the ones we’re experiencing next month, there were major changes in MY world.
At the time, my relationship was in a precarious place. Something needed to change. It either needed to end or radically transform into something new. Both options would require pain and difficult work. I wasn’t sure which way to go.
I placed it in the hands of The Morrigan.
The Morrigan is not associated with Eclipses, or any phases of the moon. Yet, she is associated with making massive changes.
When things for the Tuatha de Dannan’s war weren’t looking great, it was the Morrigan’s words that turned their attention, and the war’s tides, toward victory. I didn’t know what my “victory” looked like, but staying in the place of limbo was defeating me and those I loved.
I offered the most powerful prayer I know: “I’m ready.”
I said this to the Morrigan, alone, between the two Eclipses—motivated by the changing energies in the sky and knowing the words of The Morrigan. Not long after the second Eclipse passed, things began to shift in my world. I’ve never looked back.
Eclipses offer us a roadmap to stop and think about what we want in the next phase of our journey. The Gods can offer the tools and illuminate the way. This is why I’m making this special offering to you:
