What do you do when you can’t understand a Tarot reading? Why is Tarot so hard? What is the trick behind Tarot cards?

My life has had a series of major changes since the beginning of 2025.

One of these changes sadly includes needing to re-home my beloved dog…a long and complicated process!

When working through tough chapters, one of my personal practices is to do a Tarot reading on the past, present, and future of a given situation. I also include a bonus card for “Best Course Of Action.”

But this past week, that bonus card made no sense…and that’s how I knew that card had the answers I needed.

Before I show you what I mean, two things you’ve GOT to know about…

How I knew my most confusing card had all the answers I needed:

Here is my reading:

Past: 10 of Wands, Reversed Instead of walking blindly into a situation, the 10 of Wands Reversed suggests leaving no stone unturned…and approaching every single resource. Indeed, this has been my task the last few months!

Present: Queen of Pentacles – Sitting comfortably in comfort and support. While the situation is still not ideal, I do indeed feel surrounded by help and support.

Future: The Star – Hopes and dreams fulfilled. I certainly hope this pans out and the right home will be found for such a good boy!

But…

My best course of action confused me.

Justice – Standing firm? Rules and order? Wasn’t I already doing that? Should I just keep on keeping on…or was there more?

Remember: The Most Confusing Card Has The Answers

In the days to come, I ran into a big miscommunication with some rescue folx and risked putting my dog in the wrong situation. I remembered the Justice card and leaned into the agreements I’d made with people about the situation, and stood firm.

I couldn’t see it at first. But Justice was what I needed to invoke when the time was right.

You may not understand the card when you pull it. Take note and wait.

In time, it will make sense and by taking note instead of discarding it, you can pull from its wisdom when the situation takes further shape.
