Early August=PRIME Magick.
For many of us, August 1st means hot and sticky nights, squeezing in a little more beach time before summer over, clandestinely (or not) sneaking early-Halloween decorations into our carts, and maybe even fantasizing about a cool and crisp autumn. August can be bittersweet. Do we wish for just a little more summer? Are we ready for the so-called Witchy season to begin? (Come on, y’all. EVERY season is Witchy season!)

August 1st: It’s Lúnasa!
Lúnasa, the start of autumn in Ireland, was historically a time when the hungry months were over, and the first harvest brought in. It was a time of relief, but also planning. The thick of the harvest may still be on the horizon…but so was winter!
This was—and is—a major time of preparation.

It’s a wild time globally, and speaking from a US-American perspective, there’s one helluva autumn coming our way! And we certainly aren’t alone in anticipating an intense season. The fall is a full time. Lots of things are coming our collective way.
As a Witch, I know that while I cannot control everything, I am never powerless.
Tools like Tarot can help us know what we can personally anticipate in our own spheres, as well as how to navigate these things.
