What are good Tarot questions to ask? How do I do a “Card of the Day” Tarot reading?

I started this morning with intentionality. I listened to a meditation from TheAuntieJase. I took my daughter outside and said good morning to the trees. I took a deep breath and offered a word of gratitude.
A lovely intentional start! Good on me, right?
“Ha!” said the Universe. “Let’s test C’s peaceful resolve…”
My daughter rejected her breakfast, aka throwing it on the floor. She scream-cried at daycare drop-off, shredding my Cancerian-mom heart to ribbons. Then I missed my exit and got stuck in ALLLLL the traffic trying to get back to work. When I finally got back to my office, I had no idea where to go from there. I felt uncertain. I grabbed my Tarot deck to pull a Card of the Day.
A “Card of the Day” is a single card many Tarot readers pull at the start of a day. It typically does not have a question attached, but it often foretells things the reader might experience in a day. Drawing a “Card of the Day” is both an excellent way to center yourself and also get to know the cards better. But the drawback of a Card of the Day is that they can be cryptic, especially for new readers.
Unpopular Opinion: Uncertain Times Aren’t Helped by Cryptic Cards
No one needs me to remind them that we are all experiencing some wildly uncertain times! If you are feeling uncertain, unsettled, a little worried, or otherwise, don’t pull a random “Card Of The Day.” Instead, try this ONE question for the Tarot that is always helpful, and always applies. See more below.
But first…

I have ADDED and EXPANDED hours for my my 45-minute Zoom Tarot readings! East Coast and European who had to wait until midnight or later for their readings…no more! You’ve got LOTS of options, now.
West coast friends, don’t worry! There are still evening and weekend hours available for you!
The Best Tarot Question: What Do I Need To Face Today?
Tarot is most effective when it focuses on action. Drawing a single card in answer to “What Do I Need To Face Today” does not set you up for worry about what may come. It offers solutions for what to DO about whatever comes your way.
My card today: Knight of Swords, Reversed

Its message to me: Go soft and slow, and be patient if things don’t “get done” today. Sometimes, things don’t go as planned and that’s not only okay…it’s normal.
As a big do-er who thrives on checking items off a list, it’s a helpful reminder!
Try this daily for a week and see what it brings you in the way of insight, clarity, and peace. <3
