Need a Tarot spread for navigating upheaval or tumultuous times?
At my virtual learning platform, the collective card for the month was The Tower.
Based on what I’m seeing in my socials, I’m not the only one who pulled that card for these times.
When upheaval happens in our external world, we wonder how it will impact our internal world.
That is one of the many messages of The Tower card. It shows us that not only is no one immune to eventual collapse, that all will fall at some point.
This week’s Tarot spread is focused on idea of The Tower and when the Tower Times strike, here is a spread to see how it may affect you:
1.) What part of your life the upheaval will strike
2.) What to let fall
3.) What to hold onto
4.) How to soften the blow for yourself and your loved ones
5.) What debris to avoid aka what is not yours to fix
6.) What might be culled from the wreckage (aka if there’s any silver lining…)
The Reading In Action:
I’m going out on a vulnerable limb and making ME the querrent. I did this reading for myself and I’m sharing it here with you, now.
1.) What part of your life the upheaval will strike: The Star, Reversed. The Star is a card of hopes, dreams, and plans. This Tower moment is likely to realign many of the plans I had for myself, my business, and my family. Time will tell how, but I will be open to plans shifting.
2.) What to let fall: 9 of Wands, Reversed. When upright, this card is about moving forward while carrying a lot. In Reverse, it’s a sign to drop some things. This is a sign to me that I may need to drop some obligations for a while. Whether that’s to give myself a break or because my energies will be needed elsewhere, I need to be prepared to drop a few things.
3.) What to hold onto: The Wheel, Reversed. When the Wheel is Reversed, it’s stopped. Many of the things I hoped to do may be on hold for a while, or forever. I would be wise to embrace a pause.
4.) How to soften the blow for yourself and your loved ones: Temperance. Temperance is a card of peace and patience. It’s likely that those around me are going to need extra kindness and patience in the days, weeks, or even years to come.
5.) What debris to avoid aka what is not yours to fix: 8 of Swords, Reversed. 8 of Swords is a card of being trapped. When it’s in Reverse, the trap is imaginary. The person’s blindfold is so close to sliding off. However, no one can make the person take their blindfold off if they don’t want it to go. People around me may not see the dangers of this time, or the balms available. That’s only for them to see, and I cannot make them see.
6.) What might be culled from the wreckage (aka if there’s any silver lining…): 2 of Swords. The 2 of Swords cannot be moved. In this stillness, there is also strength.
I hope that this spread helps you in this time. Be gentle to others, and to yourself.
xoxo
